My name is Skylar Socol, and I play center back. Some of the key attributes I bring to my team are winning balls in the air both offensively and defensively, defending in 1v1 situations by anticipating my opponents and well-timed tackles, and excelling in possession-based defense. I have also become reliable to my team with composed defense, advancing with speed, distribution across all distances, and high soccer IQ and good game vision. 

I support my soccer training with time at the gym, working on my strength and speed. Some of my PRs include: 10-meter sprint (laser timed, static start): 1.67 seconds;  broad jump: 8’2”; squat: 185 for 4 reps; box jump: 42”. 

I am a freshman at La Jolla Country Day School, and I’ve always been a successful student. Last year at La Jolla Country Day, I played three sports and led both our soccer and volleyball teams to league championships. I also came in second in the league for the 100-meter dash and shot put. 

I love spending time with friends, attending school sporting events and Padres games. I am also a member of National Charity League and volunteer regularly throughout San Diego.
