Defender, 5’3” Mater Dei Catholic High School Class of 2026


Mia began playing club soccer at eight years old with Albion SC before moving to Surf during her teenage years. She has been playing with Surf for the past 3.5 years (2021-2024). Mia is  left-footed and can play the 3 and 10. Mia is confident, quick, and skillful, excelling both in attack and defense. On and off the ball, she remains calm and composed. Mia specializes in 1v1 situations, tackling, and taking opponents down the line for crosses into the box. She adds value to her team by controlling the game's tempo, knowing when to maintain possession and when to push forward.  Mia plays a year up for the U17 Mexico national team and also plays on SD Surf’s WPSL team. In February, Mia and her team were runners-up in the Concacaf Championship, securing their spot for the U17 World Cup. At the U15 level, She traveled to Germany with the USYNT for their first international friendlies against the Netherlands and Germany. 

Mia is the youngest of three sisters: Mikaela, a USC graduate, and Mirayah, a UCI student. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, hanging out with friends, shopping, and watching soccer.
