Leila began playing soccer at a very young age in the Central Valley. She excelled in the NPL and GA leagues, earning a spot with the Bay Area Surf ECNL team in 2022, where she traveled 2.45 hours each way to compete in the highest league. She is left footed and primarily plays left outside back, but can also play left winger when needed. Leila’s stellar performance allowed her to be selected in the NorCal PDP state pool as one of two players from the Central Valley in her age group. Her journey paved the way to play with the San Diego Surf team where she has played for the last year and a half. Brave and determined, Leila resided with a gracious teammate and her family for 5 months, away from her own family, enabling her to chase her dreams in San Diego. Leila’s standout performance highlights her toughness, vision, speed, and soccer IQ. As a relentless defender, she has assisted in leading her team to conference champions with a remarkable 20-0-3 record in 2023-2024 season. Leila, a top athlete since a young age, has earned multiple awards including Female Athlete of the Year for excelling in sports and academics. Recently named a player to watch in SoCal, Leila ranked #232 in the class of 2026 PrepSoccer. She also plays on the San Diego Surf WPSL team. 

Known for her vibrant social personality, Leila enjoys spending time with her older sister Gabs (25), and friends, listening to music, building legos, and staying active outdoors.
