Josie has played with San Diego Surf for seven seasons and is a versatile player with the ability to play left or right (inverted) winger, striker and left outside back. She plays fast soccer with lots of one-touches, runs from behind and 1v1s to goal. Dominantly left-footed, she also has a strong shot with her right foot and is consistently one of the leading goal scorers on her team. She contributes to her team by using her high soccer IQ to beat her opponents using her speed, athleticism and skill and by scoring goals and creating an abundance of goal scoring opportunities from the wing. She is a two year high school varsity soccer player and for the 2023 - 2024 season was selected for the All Palomar League First Team and San Diego Sports Association All CIF San Diego First Team. Her high school teammates also selected her as Offensive Player of the Year and she received the Golden Boot Award for most goals her sophomore year. In club soccer, she was invited to a USYNT ID Center and also currently plays on the San Diego Surf WPSL team. 

Away from the field Josie is very successful in her academics by taking honors and AP classes. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends and family and working out at the gym. Josie also volunteers for the Population Assessment of Tobacco and Health (PATH) Study conducted in conjunction with the NIH and FDA, which will help improve public health in the US. She has one sibling, Alex, who attends UC Davis.
